Gael Flex is a convenient way to use your Saint Mary’s ID card as a debit card to make food purchases both on and off campus. There are two types of Flex:

Mandatory Flex which is part of your meal plan compensation or

Voluntary Flex which is  purchased by contacting Saint Mary's College of California Business Office.

Simple. Your Saint Mary’s ID can be used like a debit card. The card gets swiped at the time of purchase at a participating location, the amount is deducted from your “Gael Flex” account and the balance is automatically adjusted. No more digging into your spending money, late night stops at the ATM or charging up credit cards.

Mandatory Flex represents the flex dollars that are attached to your meal plan and will expire the last day of the spring semester.

Voluntary Flex represents the flex dollars purchased directly from Off Campus Solutions. These Voluntary Flex dollars have no expiration and may be carried over to the new academic year.

No need to sign up if you already have a meal plan! “Gael Flex” is already on your Saint Mary’s ID card. If you wish to buy “Gael Flex” and add money to your ID card, please follow the directions to purchase on line through Off Campus Solutions.
Money can be added by calling (925) 631-4209 Or online
See list of participating locations. We are always growing that list, so please let us know which of your favorite places we should add by Emailing us.
The first thing you need to do is come by Oliver Hall to see if your card has been found. We can check to see if your Saint Mary’s ID card has been turned in to us and if not, we will change your issue number so no one else will be able to use your ID card in our readers. This is especially important if you have a Meal Plan and Flex dollars. To replace your ID card, come by the College Business Office in Filippi Hall anytime during our regular business hours. There is a $25 replacement fee. You will need your ID to be able to eat.
